Instant Pot Black Eyed Peas

bag black eyed peas
unsalted vegetable stock or water
ground black pepper
Turn Instant Pot to Sauté and allow it to get warm. Add bacon and sauté bacon until brown, approximately 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add peas and stock to the Instant Pot and mix well.
Close the lid, turn the valve to "seal," and set the Instant Pot to cook on manual high pressure for 30 minutes.
Once the time is done, allow a natural release for 10 to 15 minutes then quick release any remaining steam.
Add salt and pepper and mix well.
