Healthy Banana Bread
Who doesn’t love banana bread? And guess what – this is my version of Healthy Banana Bread! Super delicious and nutritious – it’s hella good!
Healthy Banana Bread
To make this scrumptious treat, all you need are some healthy-ish baking ingredients and ripe bananas. I like to use whole wheat pastry flour because it is softer and lighter, making the healthy banana bread tender, moist, and fluffy. I look to maple syrup and maple sugar to add some sweetness as well as minerals, including iron, zinc, and magnesium. The final key ingredient is plain kefir or yogurt, which adds puff and lift to the batter.
Bananas, a super nutritious part of this recipe, provide us with vitamins and minerals too. Specifically, bananas have a ton of potassium and folate, along with antioxidants, and – my favorite – FIBER!
To make this banana bread even healthier, feel free to add in chopped nuts or raisins.
